Shearwell Data is a farming and family business, farmer-owned and based on Exmoor in Wheddon Cross, Somerset. We provide a comprehensive livestock management system enabling farmers to gather and analyse data for improved business decisions.
Established in 1992 with a vision to manufacture identification tags for livestock. We have expanded consistently, now offering livestock management programmes, visual and EID tags, readers, software, and handling systems.
We employ over 100 people and lead the UK market for cattle and sheep tags, with subsidiary companies in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and America.
We are experts in animal identification, both visual and electronic. Our speciality is EID technology. We listen to farmers and develop solutions that address daily operational challenges, with products tested on our own farms.
We offer industry-leading tag retention rates and provide free replacement tags throughout an animal’s lifespan. We also support the Farmers Guardian Mart’s the Heart Awards, recognising the importance of livestock markets to the farming community.
